5 Days Serengeti Ngorongoro & Lake Natron Day 01: Arusha – Tarangire National Park After breakfast at your lodge, meet your safari driver guide and start the tour. Packed lunch will be served at one of the picnic site inside the park. Tarangire is famous for its huge elephant population and giant baobab trees. The park forms the central annual migratory cycle within Tarangire Lake Manyara ecosystem that includes up to 3000 elephant, 25,000 wildebeest and about 30,000 zebras. Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro crater Your 5 days camping safari Serengeti Ngorongoro & Tarangire continues after breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area & descend 600 meters into the crater floor for game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is a rich area with enough water & fodder supports a vast variety of animals, which includes wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippos, and giant African elephants. The Crater is home to some rare species of black Rhino living in their natural habitat perhaps this is among few areas where you can see Rhino in the wilderness. Another interesting part of this picturesque Caldera, is it’s denser population of predators, which includes lions, cheetahs, hyena, Jackal and the ever mysterious leopard, which sometimes needs a binoculars eye to spot. All meals included. Day 3 : Ngorongoro – Serengeti National park After breakfast drive around the Crater rim and down to the wild Africa “The Serengeti National Park” with its endless rolling plains. Then move to the central park area, called Seronera area named after the river which is a valuable source of water in the area therefore attracts a lager number of wildlife species in the Serengeti Masai Mara ecosystem. This is among the richest habitats in Serengeti with a lot of animal actions. Packed lunch to be served on the way before embark for sunset game drive in the Serengeti national park. Day 4: To Ngorongoro crater rim/Karatu For those who have booked for hot air Balloon safaris today you will be picked from Lodge/campsite at 5:00am for 6:00am departures.  After your 90 minutes aerial adventure bush breakfast and champagne, you will continue with a short game drive back to our lodge/camp for brunch, pack your stuff and drive you to Ngorongoro crater rim/Karatu for dinner and overnight Day 5:  Olduvai Gorge & Ngorongoro Crater  Early breakfast then depart with your picnic lunches to visit the site Olduvai where Mary and Louis Leakey first discovered the remains of Zinjanthropus Bosei, a distant ancestor of man believed to be 1.8 million years old, Australopithecus Bosei, the -Nutcracker Man’, a species that became extinct about 1 million years ago and fossilized footprints that date back 3,6 million years. Thereafter drive and descend 2000 feet down into the Ngorongoro Crater which is the home of big five and other wildlife for game viewing The Ngorongoro Crater is a World Heritage Site and better known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”.  It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.  The 2000 feet high walls of the approximately 10 mile wide crater create a natural amphitheater for the densest populations of large animals anywhere.The rich soils and abundant, year-round water provide an idea habitat for a variety of approximately 22,000 large animals.  Herbivores that you will likely encounter include Elephant, Black Rhino, Hippo, Buffalo, Eland, Zebra, Wildebeest, hartebeest, Water buck, Warthog, Grant’s Gazelle and Thomson’s Gazelle. Giraffe, Impala and Topi are strangely absent from the Crater floor.  Primates include Baboons and Vervet Monkeys. Carnivores that you will likely encounter include Lion, Cheetah, Hyena and Jackal.  Leopards, Servals, bat eared Foxes and Ratels are also resident within the Crater but much more elusive. Day 6: Engaruka Village / Lake Natron After breakfast you will drive to Engaruka village with picnic lunch for visit local irrigation for plantation farms including maize, onions, potatoes, bananas etc. You will also have an opportunity to visit the remnants of the ruined city of Engaruka. our safari guide will help you to identify old graves, house walls and explain the various theories about the rise and fall of the farming community. En-route you can enjoy the colorful birds and butterflies and visit Maasai slaughterhouse. After these activities then drive to your lodge/ campsite for overnight. Day 7: To lake Eyasi and drive back to Arusha Today early in the morning we will start driving to lake Eyasi to visit Hadzabe and Datoga tribe and join them in their daily activities. Hadzabe Tribe  Take a journey into the “Gods must be crazy” movie. The Hadzabe tribe of Tanzania is the last true nomads of Africa, this tribe is one of the earliest humans’ inhabitants of Ngorongoro area, they believed to have lived in the area over 10,000 years and currently live near Lake Eyasi, they speak click language and they are not warrior tribes. You will join the men as they hunt for their daily subsidence using traditional bow and arrows, or join the women as they forage for fruits and berries. This is not a show or a “tourist put on”. This is the real true African cultural experience.After these activities then drive to Arusha for Dinner and Overnight.
